Floating Up...

to D.C.! 

My wonderful husband and I are moving to Washington D.C. in a just a few weeks.

I've been very bad with the blogging.

I'll try harder!

I'm just very busy right now, lots of moving things, trying to finish up an 8 piece collection thats up for review in a week, paper writing, etc...

I have however, been making more time for creating for Etsy, so I'm very happy about that!

Etsy Front Page!!

hoorah! Yay!

My Little Robbers was put into a beautiful treasury that was composed by yaelfran (who's work is so lovely, modern, and whimsical)

I am so appreciative to her for including me in her treasury that made it to the Etsy front page!

I missed actually seeing it as my internet was down from the tornados, but it's given me some nice encouragement.

I created a shop on Etsy without really knowing what to expect. I knew I wanted to succeed, very badly, but I just wasn't sure how the market worked there. I am so thrilled with how things are working out so far, and all the support from fellow sellers and buyers has really given me an assurance that feels really very wonderful.

So, thank you to all of my fellow Etsians for all your sweet encouragement and kind words!

Tornados Suck

Hello!

Sorry it's a been a while. I really need to get better at this.

It's really a beautiful day today!

I'm happy to have it after all the terrible weather this past weekend! It's really incredible to see twisted metal and shattered skyscrapers. it reminds me, in all our power, how powerless we can really be.

It's nice to be warm again! 

But, I'm such a weirdo, every time the seasons change I always wish it were another season.

In winter I want summer, in summer I want fall. I always want fall.

Is there a place it's fall year round? If so, I want to live there.

Off to make a painting about my love for fall.

I'm glad that my house was spared tornado damage, and my thoughts are with those who are still displaced or lost their homes, pets, cars, etc.

Etsy-versary!

Two blogs in one day! I guess I'm off to a good start!

I just realized that it's my one month anniversary with Etsy!

We may still be in the honeymoon phase, but I think it's going to be a long and beautiful relationship!

I've learned a lot of things.

I'm grateful to everyone that's bought from me so far and I can't wait to wake up in the morning an create something new to list!

Etsy really has motivated me to create more and anything that drives me to create is worth a lot to me. And, I really have held on to the joy so far. 

Okay, I'll admit that the first couple of weeks I looked at my views constantly. As you fellow Etsy sellers know, all the views recently got reset, and it really was a necessary slap in the face kind of. It really hit me how potentially disposable those view counters are. Don't get me wrong, I still like to look at it, but I try not to put as much importance on them. 

I'm more focused on making pieces that make me smile. Hopefully, they'll bring a smile to all of you as well!

New Blog!

Hello Hello!

Today is an exciting day! I've never had a blog before. 

But, I keep hearing that I should get one, so here I am!

Since I opened my Etsy shop I've been thinking of making one.

Hopefully, it will help me connect with fellow Etsy sellers and/or buyers.

Maybe, it'll help keep distant family members in the loop too.

A fresh new blog! It feels good so far!
